Fun Floral Design Containers You Need to Try
The right vessel for a floral design can completely change the tone of an arrangement. Daffodils can look quaint in a jam jar, modern in a cube, and classy in a footed bowl. Even a daisy can take the spotlight at a regal affair in the right floral design container. Vessels are an important tool for every floral designer—and they can support or distract from the message we are working to communicate visually.
For example, these blue washed floral bowls are a great tool for a seaside event—they echo the waves and water. These also remind me of the sky on clear night. I imagine them filled with star shaped Alabaster garden roses and white nicotiana “stars.” If you are looking to invoke wonder or awe, all these elements could work together to play a role in that story. I also love them for an art gallery event paired with watercolor invitations. These are from the Ellory Collection at Accent Decor and they come in the perfect sizes for table tops. The deeper pots are suitable for wire, foam, tape, or frogs and I would lean towards a frog or foam in the low dish.
Items from Ellory would pair nicely with the Brooklyn collection. I love to keep these on hand for use with fresh florals and candles. These are super easy to work with using a simple tape grid.
The Brooklyn collection is what I would consider a “bridge” in a vessel collection. I can use it to hop from this artsy blue washed vibe over to a more sleek, modern look when I pair them with the Orion compote. They are extremely versatile and they are priced in a way that makes them perfect “make and take” vessels as well. I love that a 2.5 inch floral frog fits perfectly into the smallest version of this vessel, and using chickenwire in this vessel is great as well.
