In this episode of the Team Flower Podcast, we are chatting with Amy Balsters of Amy Nicole Floral. Amy attended the 2018 Team Flower Conference, and was chosen as the 2018 Designer of the Year! She's sharing about her experience at the conference in the Designer of the Year competition and what it has meant to her to have been chosen as the winner.

We are talking about something Amy is passionate about - going back to the basics. She shares how she approaches floral design, as well as the process of choosing mechanics and containers for each arrangement. Learn about one of the most common mistakes designers make and receive tips on how to avoid making it yourself.

Amy is also sharing where she found her inspiration for the Cloud 9 photoshoot (pictured below) as well as what materials she used and mechanics for installations.

Amy Balsters has been a part of the floral industry for over two decades. She has both formal training and vast industry experience under her belt but is always ready and willing to learn more about her craft. She is passionate about responsibly sourcing materials as well as supporting local growers. Second to floral design is Amy's love of teaching floral design.
