Flower Discoveries: What’s happening at Team Flower?

Have you ever wondered what the Team Flower Staff does behind the scenes? Today we’re giving you a little sneak peek into what’s on our individual plates right now. You’ll also hear an incredibly hopeful story from Amanda about a nonprofit pro who is genuinely loving his community through flowers at Southside Blooms.

Special Guest: Frances Palmer

Photography: Jane Beiles

Frances Palmer, potter and fellow creative, is joining Kelly for an incredibly practical and encouraging episode. They’re discussing Frances’s new book, Life in the Studio. The book deals with all aspects of her work process, from business to organization of her studio and so much in between. It’s a great read for anyone who is or wants to be a creative! Frances is also talking about how helpful it is to “begin as you mean to go on” as well as some tips on how to manage your work-life flow and balance.

Frances has been making ceramics since 1987. She was trained as an art historian, but she has always loved to work with her hands. Frances began as a printmaker and now is a potter and gardener—however, she doesn't make or grow things to hold onto them, but rather to send them out into the world for others to live with and enjoy. Enjoy her work on social media @francespalmer or purchase something for yourself (or someone you know) at her website.
