Video: How to Price and Order Rose Petals

See this content in the original post

Learn how to be prepared the next time a client asks you for a rose-covered pathway for their ceremony. In this video, we'll show you our favorite type of rose for pathways, how to calculate how many you will need, and how to price for these types of projects.

Choose a rose with a high petal count (standard rose varieties work best), and check your wholesaler’s box lot offers to see if you can get a good deal on petals for your event! To shuck a rose, gently but firmly grasp the base of the rose with one hand and twist in a slightly circular motion until the petals release from the stem.

To determine how many roses you need for petal projects, first determine the number of square feet you’ll need to cover. One rose generally provides a single square foot of lightly dusted coverage. Two or three roses per square foot provides a more lush carpeting, depending on the aesthetic you are after. You can present options of different numbers of roses per square foot to your clients and charge according to your business’s pre-determined pricing structure.
