What You Need to Know about Flower Frogs with Floral Genius
Flower Discoveries: Filming Made Easy
Did you know that the Team Flower team is all remote? We’re coming at you from all over the U.S. with news on what’s growing in our area of the world.
These days, we have technology at our fingertips quite literally. If you weren’t familiar with the tech side of things before 2020, you were inevitably thrust into the thick of it! Many embraced the changes and started filming classes or hosting one-on-one workshops.
And the awesome thing about current technological advances is that you don’t need much more than an iPhone to make high-quality recordings and photos. Jesse has discovered a gimbal for smartphone video—this is basically a device that helps keep your recording steady. It adds a level of professionalism to your filming and is definitely worth the investment! Check it out here.
Special Guest: Jessica Hall of Floral Genius
Have you ever heard of flower frogs? No, they’re not little amphibians carrying flowers—they are actually a timeless and incredible tool used in floral design! Jessica is the co-owner of Floral Genius, the only maker of flower frogs in the U.S. She’s here to tell you all the things you need to know about flower frogs—from the different types to how to use them.
In addition, she is chatting about her favorite gardening tools and gloves as well as tips on working through substitutions with clients. You’ll hear how important it is to take moments of rest and peace as we walk through this “whirl of a world.”
Jessica is co-owner of Harmony Harvest Farm and Floral Genius! Harmony Harvest farm is a 20-acre flower farm that grows over 200 varieties and ships them florist and floral enthusiasts nationwide. They’re also the same crazy flower lovers that own and operate Floral Genius, the only maker of flower frogs in the U.S. Between running two businesses with her family and raising four children, there’s always a lot going on around her. And 2021 has been an incredible year! In addition to record-breaking sales, the farm has been mentioned in Better Homes and Gardens online, the flower drying barn was published in Debra Prinzing’s Where We Bloom book, and they are one of the 12 winners of the FedEx Small Business Grant Contest. If that wasn’t enough, Floral Genius flower frogs have graced the pages of the May issue of Real Simple Magazine. Be sure to follow along with Jessica and her team on their exciting adventure!
