Video: How to Make a Quick Gift Bouquet Using the Spiral Technique
In this video, I’m demonstrating how to create a gift bouquet using the spiral technique with flowers grown in America. This technique is helpful if you’re in production mode and you need to do a lot of things quickly. It’s perfect for farmer’s markets, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, etc.
How to Design with the Spiral Technique
Begin with one stem of your choice (or begin with two as “one” like I do in this video)
Layer in the next stem next to it at a 45 degree angle
Repeat over and over again until complete
Key Points
As you go around in this order, you’ll have an even distribution of color and flowers, which results in a nice, uniform shape.
Be sure to alternate blooms as you layer them in. Feel free to break the spiral technique a bit and add color where there are holes (like the top, for example).
I’m tying off the bouquet with a rubber band and using an eco-fresh wrap to keep the flowers fresh. Click here to get your own!
To add a special touch, send off the bouquet in a gift bag with tissue paper in a complimentary color.
