Cloudberry Flowers, Peebles Scotland

Just a hop, skip and a jump away from this lovely downtown scene in Peebles, Scotland is Cloudberry Flowers. Catherine greeted us with a big smile and got right to showing us around!
From the road you'll see her roadside stand filled with jam jar posies, pressed flower notecards, flower confetti and rose pot pourri. Several came back with me!
It was mid May so the daffodils and tulips were strong. The sweet peas were showing promise. We took a walk around the garden and the glass house. There were lots and lots of tiny plants growing, getting strong — soon to be featured in one of the jam jars or wedding bouquets Catherine creates. We talked about a favorite flower — phacelia, which I don't have a photo of, but highly recommend looking into. It's so unique!
Butterfly ranunculus just starting to show more prominently in wholesale markets — Catherine has it here. Seeds and more seeds — all getting ready to make their way outside soon. The conservatory was brimming with dahlias, potted up, getting an early start.
The geum was lovely. I was happy to see it here as I knew it would be finished at my house when I got home. Isn't it a great color?!
Loved this view so much (and the urns!). As we drove away back to the town I smiled at the flowers in my hand. Later that day I took them to the couple that lives on the land where my ancestors once lived! Before we went back to Lilliesleaf we stopped in town for lunch and came upon this little pretty nook.
