Alicia Schwede of Flirty Fleurs joins Kelly on this episode of the Team Flower Podcast. Alicia is sharing her journey from being unsure about pursuing a floral career to her leap of faith into the industry! She’s also chatting about her book Bella Bouquets, the purpose behind it, and how you could benefit from it.

Kelly and Alicia are working through Japanese Beetle issues as well as a few growing tips. The pair are discussing Alicia’s incredibly helpful rose color studies where she experimented with various types of roses in different color schemes.

Remember to take time for yourself, to have a little fun outside of work, and keep positive. Remember you really do love this work!

Alica’s love affair with flowers began while growing up in Northern California spending time playing and clipping in her grandmother’s garden. She began her career whilst working a 9-5 job when she began taking floral design classes in the evenings, and shortly after, she started her business, Bella Fiori. She’s still designing after 10 years, but now she also writes the Flirty Fleurs blog, coaches new business owners, gardening, and traveling to conferences and floral cities! She also has a new book called Bella Bouquets - which you’ll hear about in the podcast.
