Fast Flower Video: Centerpiece Using Ranunculus, Foxglove, and Clematis

Fast Flower Video: Centerpiece Using Ranunculus, Foxglove, and Clematis

Start by building out a greenery base using a dark green waxy leaf such as camelia or gardenia. Fill in some height and carry color out to the sides with blooming white lilac branches, making sure to turn the arrangement back and forth as you work to balance both sides!

Add foxglove near the edges of the arrangement for even more height and reach. Next, place the clematis blooms from low to high throughout, creating long implied lines. Allow a few to hang down below the rim of the container.

Finally, add some focal ranunculus in the center for some visual weight and to draw your eye through the white pattern to the point or rest. Finish off with some lighter green foliage accents where highlights are needed.

Key Points:

  1. Start with your heaviest foliage and reserve your lightest foliage for final accents

  2. Place long, gestural flowers first, large-faced delicate flowers second, and focal flowers third

  3. Vary the height and depth as you place blooms, being mindful of how to move the eye through the completed arrangement!

Ingredients:

  • Gardenia foliage

  • Lilac

  • Foxglove

  • White clematis

  • Ranunculus

  • Solomon’s seal

  • Gardenia flower
