Video: Create a Simple Fresh Floral Bracelet

I’m Kelly, and I’m here to show you how to create a quick and simple floral bracelet out of real flowers. You don’t need many ingredients for this project. All you need is one carnation, a cuff bracelet (easily found in the jewelry section of a craft store), and some floral glue. Be sure you check out this short video for tips on using floral glue before you get started!

How to Make a Flower Bracelet, Step by Step

  1. Begin by snipping off the bottom of the carnation to loosen all of the petals.

  2. Next, keeping your floral glue in an upright position, add glue to one of the petals and attach to the bracelet. (Remember: you need to let the glue set for about 10–15 seconds before you attach the petal!)

  3. Once you have your base petals set, you can move side to side layering the ruffled petals on top of one another. Eventually, they’ll meet in the middle, which is where you’ll start layering the petals at an upward angle. You will also start adding petals in a swirling motion rather than from side to side.

  4. Finally, put together a small collection of the smaller petals to form the center of the “flower.” Voila! A lovely ruffled flower bracelet.

Key Points for Your DIY Fresh Flower Bracelet:

  • Carnation petals often have a bright side and a muted side. Choose whichever side works best for your color palette.

  • I like to move side to side on these projects so that I can be sure the piece is balanced, but feel free to use your own design method!

  • Sometimes, you can make two bracelets out of one carnation’s petals depending on where you begin your ruffled flower on the bangle.
