You can check our Cassady Creates here. Finally, Meagan is talking about a large balloon wall she and a flower friend created together recently. Guest Interview: 3 Porch Farm

Steve and Mandy O’Shea of 3 Porch Farm join us on the podcast to talk about practicing sustainability as flower farmers. They’re discussing everything from solar energy to being aware of your realm of influence (both in the industry and in your community). The couple is also speaking to their motto, “principles before profit,” and how that sentiment has driven every decision they’ve made. Finally, farmer’s markets! Is it more important to have an abundance of flowers or a variety? The O’Sheas are here to tell you!

3 Porch Farm is a sustainable flower farm in Georgia that grows its crops organically, produces surplus solar electricity, and delivers its flowers in bio-fueled vehicles. With nine acres butting up to a beautiful state park, they have cultivated roughly 4-1/2 acres in row crops, another 2 acres in unique flowering perennials, and 2 acres of woodland which they are beginning to fill up with hellebores and mushrooms. They do a weekly wholesale route through Athens and Atlanta, ship their hardy vines nationwide, and sell buckets of mixed blooms for DIY brides. With a driving focus of creating a business that will amplify the best of their values, the motto of 3 Porch Farm is Principles Before Profit. Be sure to give them a follow on Instagram @3porchfarm.
