Guest Interview: 3 Porch Farm
Steve and Mandy O’Shea of 3 Porch Farm join us on the podcast to talk about practicing sustainability as flower farmers. 3 Porch Farm is a sustainable flower farm in Georgia that grows its crops organically, produces surplus solar electricity, and delivers its flowers in bio-fueled vehicles. With nine acres butting up to a beautiful state park, they have cultivated roughly 4-1/2 acres in row crops, another 2 acres in unique flowering perennials, and 2 acres of woodland which they are beginning to fill up with hellebores and mushrooms. They do a weekly wholesale route through Athens and Atlanta, ship their hardy vines nationwide, and sell buckets of mixed blooms for DIY brides.
