In this episode, we are joined by Lauren and Rachel of Sweet Root Village. They’re sharing how they met and how Sweet Root Village was born. We are chatting about the importance of knowing the numbers of your business and how to pare down your services to items that play to your strengths. Lauren and Rachel are diving into their hiring process—when they started hiring and how they’ve continued to grow their team over the years.

We’re also talking about their must-have tools for large installations (there are several tools they never leave without). Listen as we each share a few stories where we’ve learned lessons the hard way!

Throughout their years together as Sweet Root Village, Lauren and Rachel have grown more in love with flowers and have also fallen head-over-heels with small business. They’ve been so encouraged by others as they have navigated the rapid growth of their studio, and they now enjoy being as transparent as possible with comrades in the event industry. The pair gained a huge network of flower friends, a lot of which are exploring life as working moms, just like they are, and it brings them joy to pass along that encouragement to others!
